Northern Irish Farmer Credits Coseicure Cattle Boluses with Improvement in Health & Fertility of his Cattle.

At this time of year it’s usual for farmers to start thinking about the measures they have in place to support the ongoing health and productivity of animals, and an assessment of your herds’ nutritional status is an important activity to undertake. Where a need for trace element supplementation is identified by your veterinarian, animal health advisor or nutritionist, they will be able to recommend the best course of action for your farm’s needs.

In the case of farmer Frankie Owens, a farmer from Brackey, Sixmilecross in County Tyrone, his veterinarian advised that he use CoseIcure Cattle boluses and he has been extremely pleased with the results.

Frankie commented; ‘I have a herd of pedigree limousin cattle and annually sell both males and females via the leading breed sales. However, the cattle had been experiencing a combination of health issues, ranging from poor fertility, to gestation issues. The calves were also being extremely weak which was another major concern.

I consulted Ballygawley vets who advised that key trace element issues were at the heart of the issue. The veterinarian recommended the CoseIcure Cattle boluses, which provide copper, iodine, cobalt and selenium for up to six months, meaning bolusing twice a year would be ideal for my animals.

They explained to me that some boluses and nutritional products provide trace elements unevenly, with highs and lows of supplementation, which can be bad for health and fertility. However, the CoseIcure boluses are made of a glass which slowly dissolves, meaning the cattle get the same amounts of the trace elements they need every day.

I have to say I have seen a huge difference since using the boluses. The health and fertility problems are no longer an issue and both the calves and the adult cattle are thriving. If your animals are in need of copper, cobalt, selenium and iodine, I can recommend these boluses based on my own experience’.
